This course is designed for police communicators who want to enhance their knowledge, skills, and abilities so they can enhance the police response to critical incidents requiring a tactical response at all levels. The course explores the issues involved in call taking and dispatching major events and responding to major incidents. Class work focuses on understanding the roles and responsibilities of tactical responders and a communicator’s role in improving situational awareness, understanding their own critical roles and responsibilities and becoming part of the communal team effort towards an effective resolution of critical incidents.

This one day training course is designed to assist police communicators understand the requirements and responsibilities of the Command Triangle, Critical Incident Commander, Crisis Negotiating Team, Tactical Team, Command Post, and Scene Manager in order to understand their own critical roles and responsibilities.
